This is an exciting time for our Housing team as we look to build on solid foundations that are now in place in order to fulfil our commitment to provide high quality homes and services for our tenants.

Our new political administration, which has been in office since May, has identified social housing as one of its top priorities and we are looking for someone who shares their vision of continuous improvement in this key service area.

We have recently taken a big step on this journey with the Regulator of Social Housing deciding that we are now compliant with its Homes Standard. This has resulted in a Regulatory Notice in place since 2021 being lifted.

One of the major factors in the transformation that has been achieved has been the dedication and determination of our Housing team. We are looking for someone with strong and ambitious leadership skills to maintain this momentum.

We are an employer that places a high value on the wellbeing of our staff, and this year we were recognised as a great place to work after being named as a finalist in the national Personnel Today Awards 2023 in the categories for Employee Experience and for Excellence in Public Service HR.

In addition, we were a finalist in the Most Improved Council of the Year category in the Local Government Chronicle Awards 2022-23, highlighting the upward trajectory of the Council as a whole.
